Airbag module repair after a crash
Airbag deployed: what to replace, what to repair
After deployment, the module and the pyrotechnic parts have to be handled separately.
What you need to know
- Module side: we clear the crash codes in EEPROM.
- Pyrotechnic side: deployed airbags and pretensioners must be replaced.
- Some manufacturers require replacing the module: Fiat after full system deployment, Audi after certain deployments.
How it works
1. Dismantle and read module
Read the EEPROM after removal.
2. Clear crash data
Erase the crash codes in EEPROM.
3. Bench validation
Validation on the test bench.
4. Reassemble + OBD tests
Reassembly and OBD tests.

FAQ
Is my module salvageable?
We check this using the label photo, VIN and list of deployed airbags. If the housing or the board is physically damaged, replacement will be required.
